    Connell & Schmidt Builders was officially formed when JD Schmidt and Jesse Connell decided to form a registered partnership and use their talents and ideas to meet the growing needs for residential construction in the DC Metro area.  JD’s familiarity with the area was a major factor in determining their move and still serves as a valuable asset.  They began contracting smaller jobs such as building decks, fences, small additions, and remodeling kitchens.  These jobs soon led to larger projects involving major reconstruction of some of DC’s oldest and finest row homes.  Over the years they have added several talented employees, honest and capable sub-contractors, and developed strong relationships with some brilliant local designers and architects.
